aware of their latest improvements.
Over the years, Fanuc robotics has had a complete line of robots available that would cover the requirements of the market. As customer needs changed, Fanuc has adjusted their robot line to accommodate the need. It isn’t always easy to forecast and often requires the customer base to nudge manufacturers to consider new products. The need for a compact robot became evident and the result is the Fanuc Paint Mate 200iA/5L. I just need to figure out if a 6 axis robot was a practical replacement for a 2-axis servo.
When comparing the cost of designing and manufacturing a two axis servo vs. a 6 axis robot the decision was easy. The cost was close to the same and the versatility of the robot closed the deal. We designed an indexing table to work in conjunction with the robot and the result was yet another Thierica Equipment success story.
